If we choose our portable systems wisely, we can turn these quick setups, that can sometimes be distracting, into an atmosphere that will engage the audience.
Providing excellence in training and education for the entire church team is the fundamental goal of the WFX Conference and Expo (WFX).
For 12 years, WFX has provided specialized education in the areas of facilities, technology, communications and worship, and the conference sessions are always complemented by moving, relevant keynote addresses. The 2017 conference will not disappoint, as WFX organizers have invited Paul Baloche from Integrity Music to deliver the opening keynote address in Dallas on October 11.
“We’re big on team attendance and the importance of cross-functional learning,” said WFX Program Manager, Beth Vinton. “Paul Baloche’s diverse experience and success as a teacher makes him a great fit for our cross-functional approach to team learning, making his message applicable for our entire conference audience.”
A singer, songwriter, worship leader, author and three-time Dove Award winner, Baloche has devoted his career not only to music, but to leading and teaching others. His keynote, titled “Building God’s House,” is based on the mandate given in Chronicles for tradesmen, musicians and gatekeepers to work together to build a house for the name of the Lord.
The talk will explore how teams can appreciate and understand one another’s roles and work together to live this commission out in present day.
“We emphasize the importance of diversity and being multi-generational in leadership and in worship, and Baloche speaks to all of that,” noted Vinton.
In addition to writing and performing, Baloche is dedicated to developing others.
“He’s a leader of leaders. That’s what we want for our attendees,” added Vinton.
As a songwriter, Baloche is best known for the contemporary hymns “Above All,” “A New Hallelujah,” “Open the Eyes of My Heart,” “Hosanna” and “Your Name.” He is also the author of “The Same Love: A Devotion” and “God Songs – How to Write and Select Songs for Worship.”
WFX 2017 will be held at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas on October 10-12. To register or learn more, visit wfxevents.com.
